Description
SLIDING-RISING SYSTEM WITH THERMAL BREAK
The Albio 256 Thea is one of the only minimal sliding lift-up systems that offers ideal sealing using EPDM tires. The Exalco 256 Thea system is a high quality, high performance window system made from a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. Specially designed for modern architectural applications, it is characterised by its elegant and minimalist design. The 256 Thea system has a frame depth of 256 mm and a visible width of 22 mm, making it one of the thinnest aluminum systems available on the market. The 256 Thea's slim profile enhances the aesthetics of the building, while allowing maximum natural light to enter as well as offering unobstructed views.
Available in a variety of finishes to match the design requirements of any project. For optimum operation of the system, a special water drainage system has been designed, which enables water to drain from the inside of the system as well. Minimal appearance with integration of the frame into the wall around the perimeter of the system, a visible profile of 45.1mm and a narrow visible surface hook of only of 42mm. The special drainage system enables water to drain away from the inside of the system. The special lift-and-drag (Hebe Shiebe) system of the rolling mechanism allows glazing of large surfaces areas and thickness, since it can move glass panels weighing up to 250kg.
The 256 Thea system is designed with energy efficiency in mind, featuring a high performance thermal break function that minimizes heat loss and improves insulation, offering safety and durability in any climate. This helps to reduce energy costs and improve the overall energy efficiency of the building. Overall, the Exalco 256 Thea system is an excellent choice for architects, builders and owners looking for a high quality, modern window system that combines aesthetics, functionality and energy efficiency.

Types of glazing combined with Exalco Albio 256 Thea
The thickness of the glazing should not be less than 4 mm because in these cases it is vulnerable to bending. The longer the distance between the double glazing, the softer the connection between the two panes of glass through the air between them becomes, thus optimising the sound insulation. Asymmetrical glass thicknesses are better than symmetrical ones (e.g. 8-12-4 instead of 6-12-6) because this avoids simultaneous resonance of the glass.
